WHO WE ARE
Ronald Your Guide
Ronald Vill is a Cuban self-taught photographer and artist, born in 1991 in a neighborhood on the outskirts of Havana.
His artistic journey began in 2011-2012 when he attended the Onelio Jorge Cardoso Literary Training Center to pursue literature courses, as his initial inclination towards art was through writing. In 2012, he took his first steps in photography at the School of Creative Photography of Havana (EFCH) until 2014.
From the beginning, Vill’s work has been characterized by a rawness that brings out beauty in the rough. Starting with experimental studio photography, his work has evolved into more recent pieces that border on documentary, often accompanied by a creative process that he meticulously curates.
Vill has showcased his work in solo exhibitions in Cuba, USA, and Italy, as well as in various group exhibitions worldwide. Some of his works are part of public collections. For two years, he taught photography classes to children at the National Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology in Havana as part of the La Colmenita project. Additionally, he was a teacher for photography workshops offered by Fabrica de Arte to children and adolescents in the community.
Currently, Vill continues to create new projects and resides between Havana and Belgrade.
